Knights of Columbus Council 14448 Saint Elizabeth Grove, OK

Installation of New Officers happened on May 14th 2011 at a Knights/Spouse Dinner event at 7 pm. The event went very well and the dinner was very, very good. Thanks to the chefs.

 Tootsie Roll Campaign:

 -The council has four 1/2 cases of Tootsie Rolls to hand out this spring. Arrangements were made with Wall-Mart to be at the north door in June 2011 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
-This is not the only place we should be, so if you have a counter or other location that has people passing by please consider having Tootsie Rolls there for the public. Tootsie Rolls are passed out and donations are accepted for the support of the mentally disadvantaged. 
-We need your support to man the door in June 2011 and will have a sign-up sheet at the meeting June 7th.
 
 Knights Communion Mass
 - Our communion Mass is every month that has 5 Sundays. Next Knight's Mass is August 28, 2011.

VICTORY IN PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CASE 

The ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled March 11, 2010 that the words "one nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance "do not violate the Established Clause" of the First Amendment to the Constitution.  The Knights of Columbus led the campaign to add the words "under God" to the Pledge in the early 1950s. The words stay!
